How the Session Went

Initial evaluation from Rebel Strength and Performance in Fairfield with one of the owners Derek. Very high tech, yet low pressure to evaluate where I am from a fitness point of view. So easy, low-pressure, and inviting. Very pleased.

Meet and greet, go over some basic health stats and goals, but not super invasive. Which was great as this is more of an evolution than a strict “I want to be X by this date.” I want to be healthy, and I am still figuring out what that means for me. Because I don’t know yet. I am 51, have been in shape, not in shape, and everywhere in between. I mean, I am a work in progress. And I am ok with that.

The gym is high-tech, with Techno Gym Equipment, especially the Treadmill. Which is super easy on your joints; when I win the lotto, I will buy this for my house. And a slew of other brand-spanking-new gym stuff that makes sense, like weight stations. I want to note how comfortable and inviting the whole atmosphere is. Every shape, size, and age imaginable here. And let me say everyone is so damn lovely.

I am all signed up and raring to go at least 3+ days per week. I can use Mind Body Online to reserve my semi-private appointment with any trainer. However, my evaluation has determined my cyber and virtual workout, and I am ready to go now! When I check in next time, I can use my phone to log into my training or the iPad, which will have my custom program. How cool is that!

Prices are affordable and based on what you can commit to your schedule and budget. I am super excited to get rid of premenopausal belly fat. There, I said it. Inflammation, which will also hopefully help my arthritic hands, is kind of a problem for an Esthetician and LMT. I hope this will get me back to working more with clients!

So Yea! for me, for taking the first step in restarting a workout program for the 15th time. I plan to blog in the form of Bridget Jones’s Diary style, so follow along (read the book y’all-movies were trash). Never sure what to expect as a business owner in QTR 4, making time to get healthy during our BUSIEST TIME OF THE YEAR. By the way, I will never get rid of my paper planner. The Passion Planner is the best on the market if you want to know, and I have tried them all.
